BACKEND SERVER FAILURE
On Sunday, 15 March 2009 the backend server that "feeds" the DX Central website experienced a catastrophic server failure. This failure affected user telnet connections (typically used by logging programs) and the node-to-node connections that are responsible for connecting DX Central to the rest of the worldwide DX cluster network.

A fully loaded, data center ready Dell PowerEdge 2800 has been purchased and is now online providing the vital links between the various servers that make DX Central what it is.

DX Central is provided at no cost as a service to the DXing community. Given the ongoing costs of providing such a service, if you are a regular user of the website or telnet cluster, please consider making a small donation to help offset the cost of providing this service.

RECEIVE DX SPOTS VIA EMAIL
9G5BQ's QSL Card YES! DX-Central can now send spots you request right to your mailbox!

If you are looking for that elusive country, let DX-Central help. Another benefit of creating an account is the ability to select which Entities you would like to be notified about - VIA EMAIL! You may choose to have spots sent to your email address at 1, 3, 6 or 24 hour intervals. Never have to "lookup" a spot again.

Here's how. Once you create an account (or Log In if you already have an account), click the "Email Alert" link at the top of the page. Simply check off the Entities you wish to be notified about and choose how often you would like to receive the email notification. It's that simple!

As always, Enjoy!
